Maybe he means over a period of 2-3 years. Marcel has basically said we can’t spend loads this summer and the club have clearly fed that line to the Echo too (yes I know the Echo are crap but still).

Just hope the big Uzbek has some more creative ways of funnelling cash to us up his sleeve

NONE of these players are his. Has to be 3 or 4 new players by the time we get into next season.

Not sure where this phantom idea that we have turned on Ancelloti has come from.

I've read enough moaning posts after a defeat to see it being suggested fella. Even if they are a few right now , they grow when they don't get an instant result.

That's why so many players get written off here when they get 5 minutes a game. Kean gets criticised every single game when he makes those 5 minute appearances when we are getting beat. How anyone can say our 20 year old striker who has swapped countries at a young age and barely gets game time isn't good enough is beyond me. Was lewen ripping up trees at 19? He was getting game time much like Kean is now.

That's just an example but I'm sick of reading fans turning on players based on nothing. Seeing people question ancelotti after 4 months whilst demanding the players he has to choose from get sold asap. This is a mid table squad and has been for years , so perhaps criticise the players but ask yourself what chance has ancelotti got with them in the space of 4 months?

If Carlo leaves the club and things aren’t sorted, it’ll just be a matter of time until Everton get relegated. Is this Spurs at the turn of the century struggling in midtable for a few years? Or is it Aston Villa heading for the drop?

We know the players here aren't good enough for anything above us. That's why we rot away in midtable and certainly there are issues far worse at the club that are being discussed in a different thread tonight.

4 years is my mind frame. See where we are in 4 years rather than 4 months.

To be perfectly honest , my expectation is that if ancelotti is still here in 4 years we will have won something. Even if it's the league cup, we will win a trophy. We will be challenging for champions League places in a strong position rather than as a straggler and we will be relevant again.

It may not happen , time will tell. But if ancelotti can't turn us around then there is no hope for this club.

Laughable that anyone questions ancelotti.

The fella has won the lot yet as soon as he is Everton manager you have idiots questioning him. Questioning his style , his motivation , player choice etc. Yeah do you think AC Milan questioned his choice to league and champions League titles? Real Madrid? Bayern Munich in his first year there? Or were they satisfied he won them the big ones when asked of him?

It's a joke now. Every young player is written off based on cameos at the end of games just because they have a blue shirt. We question the manager even when they are one of the best in the world. We question the dof and ignore the one who cake before him as if he didn't load the club with debt we cannot shift.

How can anyone call the team crap and then question ancelotti? He has been here for 4 months essentially footballing wise. He didn't lose the cup Derby , the two cowards in the middle who hid for 45 minutes cost us it. He didn't lose the game today , the lack of creativity / midfield and passion lost us the game. You all want instant success yet even the gobsite across the park took 4 YEARS to get anywhere including a crap finish when he inherited the squad.

How about as a fan base we just stop moaning eh? List all the players you think aren't good enough and swap them for a ancelotti player over the next 4 years. Do you really think we will still be this crap? Or do you think our world class manager may turn us into a side that has a bit of pride?

4 months and people are turning on him. Have a good look at yourselves.

Moan all you want about the board / players / mentality etc . Moan about how hot the tea in Finch farm is for all I care. Just maybe fans should not question the manager given he will be the best we get for a long time (arguably the best manager we have ever had talent wise behind Howard) .
