I know your not stupid so it does my head in that you continue to post stupid things.

Koeman full season 7th.......got sacked following season due to where we were
Fat Sam 8th......every man and his dog knew the vast majority of Evertonians wouldn't tolerate a season of that knobhead
Silva 8th.......got sacked the following season due to where we were
Where are we now?
7th or 8th????

So if we finish there and he has a bad run next season he'll get sacked because that's what Moshiri does.

But this season isn't over yet is it. Unless you've got a crystal ball to confirm that we finish below 7th.

It's alright to be critical of him, anything below 7th and I won't be happy. Your saying Ancelotti isn't going to out perform any of thr above yet Ancelotti has a better win percentage than any of them. That makes you look badly stupid saying that doesn't it.
It would take a seriously brave betting man to think we’re finishing above 8th.

We’ve got Villa, Leeds and Arsenal breathing down our necks now.

Over a fairly large sample, the conclusion is that we have played terrible football, among the league's most boring teams to watch. It is true that there are a couple of extreme outliers in this sample, but that does not change the main impression. During Ancelotti's period we have not seen any clear direction, apart from the only constant, a poor interpretation of catenaccio.

Many here on the forum have warned that in the long run, this approach will lead to declining points. Something it has done. But that's not the most disappointing thing. The most disappointing thing is that we have not developed as a football team. Now I hope Ancelotti will improve this for next season, because this season seems finished. Considering all the injuries, and the bad form we are in.

The reason we are struggling is injuries. The reason the football has been bad is injuries.

If you'd told me the injuries we were going to get this season and that we'd still be 8th at this point, I'd have been amazed.

Tonight can be blamed on injuries to an extent.

But what was the excuse at home to Newcastle? West Ham? Palace? Leeds? Burnley home and away?

Newcastle away?

He still gets next season but he's cost us europe with his crap tactics and constant desire to tinker with the formation/system - there was a stat weeks ago which said we had played a different back 4 for about 8 consecutive games or so.

I hope two things happen this summer:

1. Moshiri punts Brands who's been ever so slightly better than Steve Walsh

2. Carlo sorts out what system he actually wants to play and sticks with it. To go from that swashbuckling football at the start of the season to this utter dirge is scandalous - sort of management you would expect from a novice not an all time great.

Sample size and representativeness please? Power calculation, confidence interval and statistical significance preferable.

So do we only do training sessions and passing drills with the 1st 11? Do the rest get sent off to watch Homes under the hammer? We have a squad of 23 players who train together every day. I would expect them to be able to make a few passes to each other

I genuinely, genuinely would rather we just threw the season at this point than qualify for the Europa Conference League.

We need some continuity, we are playing with two or three managers worth of players, let Carlo get more of his players in, let it become his team. Had enough of the hiring and firing, impossible to build anything like that.
Absolutely madness they are. Carlo is the best we can get and we must back him. Do they want Silva or Fat Sam type of managers back?
