Just won another Champions League. One of the greatest managers of all time.

One who managed Everton a couple of seasons ago. I can’t remember but did anyone on here want him out or was glad he went?

I read his book while he was managing us, quite a good read. There was lots in there about how he likes clubs that are like families, have lots of tradition and heritage, lots of good talky talky on loyalty etc.

Then Madrid came calling and he was off like bullet.

So I was like - well, hypocritical but on the other hand it is Real Madrid...

Now with all that's transpired I think he saw right through this bunch of charlatans, did a professional job and left at the first opportunity.

I rather think Moshiri et al promised the moon on a stick but it became obvious the money ran out. On the other hand you have to ask what Carlo promised. Champions league? Who knows. Ideally we'd have strengthened more than Josh King in that window.

I rather think Moshiri et al promised the moon on a stick but it became obvious the money ran out. On the other hand you have to ask what Carlo promised. Champions league? Who knows. Ideally we'd have strengthened more than Josh King in that window.

He doesn't seem the type to make rash football promises, far too long in the tooth.
As for Moshiri, I wouldn't believe him if he promised me a magnum on a stick.

I questioned how bad the football was under Ancelotti.

Obviously though he realised he had a set of duffers and was setting us up not to lose.

Kind of like a premium version of big Sean.

We was in the hunt for champions league when the January window came round. I think he wanted to spend to get us there. Found out that wasn’t possible. He was given Josh king and kind of gave up after that.
