If you can't get a lift in a car, the train from Liverpool to Leeds isn't too bad taking just over two hours and one change in Manchester.

You can get direct to Lime Street. Ive just got a return for me and me bird to the Leeds festival for £40 with a 'two together' railcard. Takes 1hr 46m.
