Lets be honest, it's been an uninspiring World Cup so far with five days gone. Some [Poor language removed] footie, a lack of goals and horns annoying the [Poor language removed] out of loads of people.

Plus points have been the general good standard of refereeing and the occasional blimp of a nice foreign sort shown on the TV.

It needs a game to kickstart it though.

its a case of nerves i think but it should get better as it goes along. Its a bit like a marathon, they start off trying to figure the others out then go for it. No one wants to get beat in the first game. Lets see what Brazil look like tonight. Hoping things improve when we get rid of 16. Must admit though that i agree with you so far and theres been some garbage

Only the Germany game was really entertaining.

Hopefully Ivory Coast V Portugal will be a good game and if not surely Brazil will smash North Korea.

I think its been a decent tourney. I think the passing has been pretty quality its just the final ball that seems to be lacking for everybody but Germany. The refing has been top notch (at least we have Mexico's shameful ref and Howard Webb coming up to avg everything out) and there were a few good games like US-England and SA-Mex. Germany-AUS was nice to watch too. SK is also pleasing on the eye. Its also nice to watch of match of concequence w/o diving (I didn't watch Italy just so I wouldnt spoil it -- will have to do the same with Spain) and ref baiting after the farce that was the entire knockout stage of the C-League.

The lack of goals I think could be put down to the fact that becasue the ball doesn't bend. Maybe its the ball maybe its the altitude not sure.

Perhaps it's all the footy we are used to watching. I dunno, but the standard has been bloody awful.

Why oh why did they build stadiums with running tracks? Nothing worse for atmosphere than a bloody great big 8 lane running track separating the fans from the action.

Oh. Apart from the vuvuzela.

So in other words you'd rather have the vuvuzelas closer to the action.

haha god no. I mean the only thing worse than ruining the atmosphere that a running track is that damn trumpet.

You see its weird like that isn't it? I personally thought the England v US and South Africa v Mexico games were gash.

I'm hoping Ivory Coast v Portugal can be a good one like.

Bit of a coincidence that they played with this 'magic' ball for the whole Bundesliga season...

I say 'Magic' ball as it probably takes years of practice to master, and you still end up looking like a pratt.

Questions must be asked as to why theyve been using it all season. Something smelly about that.

Apparantly, they offered the Premier League the ball for last season, but the Premier league turned it down as they had a deal with another brand already.

Even Capello even turned it down when they offered it to him for England qualification training etc....

defo smelly.
