I can get a bottle of supermarket lager, alcohol content is 4.6%, for just 2.25 kroner, which works out at about 20 pence. Now that is cheap for a non-pissy strength lager.

Deposit is 1 kroner, which is about 9 pence per bottle. But you get a crate of 30, then take it back and get another crate. So effectively you only pay the deposit the first time you buy the booze.

Booze in the supermarkets is pretty cheap over here. In a bar, then you're talking big, big money.
