Player Valuation: £35m
Didn't think this player would cut it at prem and european level - as his first touch seems to let him down again and again. I know he's scored a few goals but the rest of his game, seemed to lack a bit of quality.

I thought he was excellent though last night. Most of the stuff he tried came off and the defenders looks scared of him. A good cameo.

Hopefully he can put in more performances of this kind.

Pity no great midfielders are coming through the academy yet. What I'd give for a home grown player than can simply pass and move.

He is strong, I'll give him that. It was amusing to see Metalist players bouncing off of him, and he continues like he hit a bug.

We use him very much as we used Dunc at the end of his career, a battering ram towards the end. But we used Dunc that way cos of the injuries that had finished his career, its dissapointing for Anichebe because thats all he seems capable of at that start of his career.

I hope I'm wrong, but I dont think he'll ever be a great Everton player.

He certainly offers something to the squad because his physique can bully defenders. That in itself is an invaluable quality. If he can add some real technique to his physical attributes then we could have a serious player on our hands. That's a big if mind you.

just my thoughts but I think his progression and improvement has been hindered as he is missing his sparring partner, jimmy vaughan. When those two train together they improve in leaps and bounds. I have huge hopes for both of them as they are the two ends of a very wide spectrum. Brains and Brawn I guess. Also best of friends. They are once again 2 examples of the genius of our manager. The best manager of Everton since the prem started and I will happily argue with anyone to the death about it.

Nuff said.

John Paul Kissock?

Good news is that he's still young and can improve.

Worst case is he doesn't pan out for us and we sell him on. But we're a long way away from that option.

absolutely. I just meant coming through now, as in we could of played them last night.

Oh right, your comment just confused me. He is through the academy, he just plays in the reserves now. Make or break for him, but I'm hoping that we will see him in some of the league cup games.

Plus I would have like to have seen Lukas play last night, perhaps come on for AJ, but that wasn't going to happen was it?

Forget about the Swindon lad, he's a while off and Anichebe will do more than him at the moment.

Kissock looks class but makes Osman look stocky. We will see.

The problem is that we have just paid 11 million for a striker who was shown up by Anichebe.

How was he shown up? He just jumped into players, he's a different player than Yakubu.
