Jeez do the english media really think they have a chance at the WC with JT as starting CB? My god he's terrible, would rather take my chances with Hibbo.

I also don't think its any suprise that Inter is much more threatening now without Zaltan and Barca is tied 1-1 with a mid table German squad.

Looks a stone wall penalty to me, didn't help himself by throwing his arms like someone being electrocuted, but that is (on the replay) a penalty all day everyday and twice on sundays!

Nah, no chance. The defender clipped the outside of his right foot. Wait until you see the replay to confirm it. Ref and assistant have taken the easy way out there.

Maybe he was clipped, however if he still has the balance to do his imitation of William Defoe in Platoon then surely he could stay on his feet and produce a shot on goal.

Much ado about nothing anyway. Doesn't Lampard take their penalties?

That is half the problem though, if they give penalty, it is also a red card - which is technically correct, but ruins the game and possibly the entire tie. A penalty and a yellow card because it was an honest challenge for the ball I agree with.

Zanetti has been the best right back of my generation but he's no left back. Chelsea could get some joy down that side, but it's not a great game. Hope Inter do them though.

I bet Ancelotti is in the ear of the ref right now telling him he screwed up in no uncertain terms. Any reckless challenge by Inter in the box this next half will be punished.
