Arse's defense on the counterattack is dreadful. I could see Liverpool taking 3rd again and Arse being dragged into a fight with Villa et.al. I hate VanPersie but w/o him there is no presence in the box.

Moyes was there. Probably watching Arshavin silently wanting to kill McClaren for letting Russia into Euro 08.

I guess its a good thing that there is at least 1 other team that is even worse than we are against the "big" clubs.

It seems like Wengers tactics against Man Utd and Chelsea was: OK Arshavin we are going to put you up front w/ no striker to play off and we need a hat trick from you to have a chance.

It would be like Moyes putting Saha on the bench and sticking Arteta up as the lone forward.

And finally, do you know who is the most luxurious player in English football? The Hoddle without the chip, the Le Tiss without the outragreous, and so on?

Arshavin - my god we side stepped a right one with him - never seen a player so inept at handling the top level of football, and to think so many fans on here were fuming we never signed him.

I have kind of soft spot for Arse because they don't spend any money in transfers (less than us??). You never have to worry about Arse raiding your players like say City, Chelsea or Man Utd. Wenger probably called Moyes last year and said I'm bidding 12M for Arteta, I know you'll laugh at it but I just needed something to convince the fans I'm trying to bring someone in.

I thought Arshavin was quite good. He had no one to pass to in the box so had to create any goal scoring chances himself and almost did score.

Walcott well in his defense if he beats a man on the wing who's he going to cross too? He was forced to cut inside.

Bentdner - never thought I'd hate an Arse player more than VanPersie. I hated VanPersie more than any other player in the prem not named Kuyt. I was wrong. Now I want VanPersie to come back ASAP just so I don't have to look at Bendtner.

I think Wenger built a squad to win LaLiga.

Arshavin is crap mate. Apart from the goals he scored at Anfield, he's done very little to convince me he's the Russian Maradona. He makes bad decisions, never passes, and tries to beat everyone 10 times before making a cutey cute pass to anyone but an Arsenal player, and as for Walcott - he does nothing, he shouldn't even be playing in the Premier league he's that poor.

Problem is Fabergas and Arshavin are supposed to do everything. Granted his passing isn't great but again who's he going to pass to? He's an attacking midfielder who is quick and skillful and can create when given the oppurtunity....

But he's been played as a loan striker. It's like sticking Ossie up front of his own, it just doesn't work.

Funny how a few months back people were raving about Vermaelen?



Wenger must be so frustrating. It's obvious his pretty football isn't working. But he wont compromise. He needs physicality to make it work. Apparently he looked at spain winning 2008 and decided it was the way forward. But spain have 2 "out of this world" midfielders in Xavi and Iniesta, and 2 of the worlds best strikers in Torres and Villa.


I hate to say it, but they really need someone like Fellaini.

I wouldn't say well clear of 4th quite yet as another slip up against the RS on Wednesday and they are only 2 pts ahead.


Wenger messed up waiting on if Bendtner would be able to come back as his not going after a striker has definitely hurt them against their nearest rivals.
