Long story ... it's half-term, so I took my son into town on the way to the match, and visited some of the museums. I came across this in the Merseyside Maritime Museum - they have an exhibit called "Hello, Sailor!", dedicated to gay life in the navy, and this is - I gather - a mock-up of your average gay sailor's cabin.

Personally, I think they may have gone a bit overboard. If you'll pardon the pun.
