Parsnips there for posh people:lol:

Parsnips are a very under-rated vegetable.

Aunt Bessie makes them readily available to disgusting commoners like myself at a reasonable price.

Smoked Salmon.

Roast Turkey & all the trimmings.

Christmas pudding.

Champaign

3 o'clock kick off, with a toast to absent friends. After dinner a good film then chase my dearest around the Christmas tree until she lets me catch her.

Mashed potatoes.

Mashed carrot and parsnip.

Roast potatoes.

Sprouts.

Aunt Bessie vegetarian toad in the hole.

Peas.

Gravy.

A giant Aunt Bessie yorkshire pudding.

Yum yum.

my usual cook on xmas day is.....

turkey stuffed with sausage meat (one end)and sage + walnut stuffing (the other)
roast parsnips
roast potatoes
carrots
sprouts
yorkshire pud (my mum goes mad at me doing yorkshire -as its for beef and not xmas dinner )
minted peas
kilted sausages

i cant stand mincemeat (the sort in minced pies and xmas pudding)
so its usualy hot cherry pie and ice cream .
this year though im also doing an apple cranberry and cinnamon strudel (home cooked) with cornish ice cream (tesco bought)

Can't believe noone mentioned them untill now, sausage wrapped in bacon, couldn't even begin to imagine xmas dinner without them, absolutely make the dinner they do imo. Usually have carrot and swede mash instead of parsnips and you can't forget the cranberry sauce
