Everton had won the FA Cup recently.

I was going back to college to get into Uni.

1996, best year of my life, the rave scene jumped off and I was going to mad raves every single week in some far and distant places like Stoke and Machester, best year of my life and due to the vast amounts of dugs I took, I can barely recall any of it.

Actually I was as well, missed about 3-4 years of going the game cos of that job. Just as well we where total GASH.

Left the Air Force and moved back to Liverpool in 96...went to the match on a regular basis, and yes we were crap....soon got itchy fet and realised it was a mistake coming back, so upped and moved to Amsterdam...best decision I made in my life.

1996 - Had an accident at work and was off and couldn't drive for 3 months , missed most of our games, but managed to see the final home game against villa where we came 7 mins from the UEFA cup - damn you arsenal.............. highlight was watching the famous 7-1 drubbing of soueys southampton the following season

1996 i spent in holland, see goats summary and apply, although i wouldnt say the best year of my life but definately the haziest.

Yeah I suppose your right, Rave was massive for many years before I joined the scene. But 96 was when we got into it hard.

98 my daughter was born, so life became much more diluted then, life changes when you have kids, you live for them after that. But you know this.

Took my A-levels, didnt do too well and thought id ****ed up getting into uni but they let me in some how! Probably played a load of footie, euro 96, semi was same day as my school leavers do, what a downer! Music was mixed tbh, some quality among the dross. God I hate the spice girls, f*cking wannabe was everywhere that year!
