I was furious when i heard they were gonna 'heavily strengthen' in the window.

But when i see they're linked with players like Santa Cruz, Bellamy and Parker, i just lol.

I'll only be arsed when they start going after the big timers. I thought they might go back in for Mario Gomez (who isn't world class but hes a very good season even after a poor Euro 08) and such like.

Bellamy and Parker though, decent players but it won't strengthen them LOADS.
 
Their problem is they will never be able to attract really good/big players, they are a nothing team, in a nothing City, playing nothing football, infront of nothing fans, in short they are nothing.
 

Heard today they want both Lescott and Arteta for 40 million. Thats some cash that is for our two best players. I'm afraid football business is turning a ugly corner.

That's a decent price but if its Citeh we could squeeze more out of them. When rich people want players they will pay almost anything for them, remember SWP sold for 23M 2 years ago.

However if we did it in Jan we'd fall down the table pretty fast. Arteta is right now on fire. We could sell Lescott because we have Baines but if we lose Arteta we'll have trouble scoring even if we played hoof ball to Fellani. Arteta has been superb defensively as well.

But 40 million ???

And I was thinking like you were as far as telling Citeh "50 million, take it or leave it."
