Reidy's Bottle Of Grecian

The Unobstructed View
i have to say i like the city of manchester stadium. i've been this season to west brom, stoke, blackburn, bolton, wigan, citeh. all grounds that are either new or redeveloped. of the grounds citehs is the best i reckon, it reminds me of the sydney football stadium which i rate as 1 of the best i've been too, it's higher at the ends which stops the wind getting in like the sfs where it swirls around. was totally opposite our fans and you could easily here them so an atmosphere will carry in the place, best i've seen so far but then when the local taxpayers are footing the bill you get a decent ground thats not in a shopping centre or industrial park.

Went to Wembley yesterday, that's a belting ground as well. Seats are great, perfect view from pretty much anywhere and the concourse is very plush. Judging by the number of people quaffing down the food and drink they must make a mint from that.

i took the kids to the very first game there, huge place, i wouldnt want to be right at the back there though, we were in the lower level there on about row 30 in the bit they use for away fans, great ground but a bit bigger than our requirements, they say that the emirates is very similar but more "the right size".

I've been 3 times, and despite us making a racket, when the City fans sing you have to strain your ears, it just seems to disappear. I think its pretty poor for noise retention to be honest. Wish I had gone this weekend

If the home fans actually sung, I'd say stamford bridge is the best for atmosphere.

But there two stadiums in Manchester are probably to best two club stadiums I've been to, not experienced the Emirates as yet.

the city fans at the opposite end didnt sing at all tbh kj but i could hear our end quite loud, if all the city lower tier sang it would well buzz. great stadium though, the concourse and everything, i'd alter the top tier so as the same height all round and put the facade from the bullens and gwladys street between the tiers to make it feel like home. i'd stick the alphabet in the corner for the scores too.
