Class 80's Video nasties

Nothing was better than the summer holidays, walking to the video shop and renting a class horror film for 50p. I think I went through pretty much all of them. They had some great cover sleeves too.

Some of them were funny, some gory.

All were rubbish.

Let us remember.

April fools day. I think this has just been remade, like most of them. MY favourite cover.

Maximum Overdrive. Machines get minds of their own. Pure mentalness

The Monster Squad. A bit like a CBBC version of Ghostbusters.

Here are 4 classics. All of them banned under the bizarre DPP ruling. To be honest, Holocaust had some sick footage of animal cruelty which had no place in a movie.

zombie flesh eaters - totally Sh*t me up when I was about 10 (understandable suppose) Ive never been the same since :hay:- the cover still gets me now

Did they ever release the 5-0 home defeat to the shi*e in '82 now that would of been a video nasty I couldn't of handled

I couldn't watch either of those movies now, Roy. I especially found Last House on the Left upsetting. A really very nasty movie indeed. Despite the low budget, the comedy bits and the poor acting, the scenes with the girls were uncomfortable viewing.

I saw that a while ago. Elvis and JFK living in a retirement home against an old egyptian mummy. Remember thinking it was ok but not great. But very weird.
