i was reading through a security article someone had written and they advised a program called ccleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com/

you can read up on this program and download it at that link, basically it cleans your computer up of all the little files stored away that 'can' be used to monitor your web browsing.

i have been running my install of XP sp2 for over 2 years, when i ran Ccleaner i removed 1,106 mb of rubbish stored on my PC.

Been using that for a while now. Great little program. Use it every day to keep my laptop nice and clean.
