Could anybody please help me regarding my computer. My hard drive conked out last week but has since been fixed, however, many of my internet pages are too big for the screen such as GOT and it is annoying using the bottom scroll bar just to read across. How do you compress the internet pages to fit the whole computer monitor? I am thick with things like this. Any advice will be much appreciated. (y)

so what you are saying is that you have to scroll sideways to view what is on the screen. must be really annoying especially when the post doesn't come up with the solution to your problem.

try control panel and display, check that it has the right screen on there, it may have been set up on a bigger monitor at the fixing persons.

That is about it. Tried control panel and display by the font size is apparently on normal. I am pulling my hair out here. :@

XP mate. My hard drive packed up at the weekend and have just replaced it but most of the internet pages are too big for the screen.

right-click on the desktop and then left click on properties from the menu that appears. click on the settings tab at the top right of the box.

See were it says screen resolution? Normally the default (in XP) is set to 800x600 which means the display will be 800 pixels wide and 600 pixels high. Drag the bar so it says 1024x768 - click apply and then ok.
