Conclusive proof - Football is more important than the Mrs!

The thought occurred to me that when a man gets fed up with his wife, when she fails to perform, when she constantly disappoints it can end up in the break up of a marriage - afterall 1 in 3 marriages fail.

However, when we get fed up with our football club,when they fail to perform, and even after many years of constant disappointment we stick with it. How many supporters change clubs?

So I have concluded that football is more important than the Mrs

It's certainly true that it's more common for people to divorce, change jobs and towns, turn their backs on their country and disown brothers, sisters and even children, than it is for them to change footballing loyalties.

Yeah but once apon a time people used to stay married no matter what. Maybe in a hundred years time football will go the way of marriage and everyone will just dump their team if they're not making them happy and find a more attractive proposition.

On the subject of girlfriends sisters... yep mines a [Poor language removed] hottie and a half! Killer aint it! Even if you ever split with yer bird she's the one person you'll still never get to shag.

Probably right. No matter how often Everton disappoint you (and they bloody do, regular as clockwork) we always stay with them. An annoying girlfriend is much easier to dispose of
