Conference play off final

The game between Exeter and Morecambe contained all the passion and effort that was missing on what had taken place in the encounter that had taken place 24 hrs earlier. Morecambe 2 - 1 won and will take their place in the FL proper for the first time next season with a goal that deserved to win any game.

One thing that really stood out about this encounter was the age of its officials, the ref was only 22 years old and he put the notorious Steve Bennett to shame such was the maturity of his display which included a deserved sending off. The lad let the game flow, allowed it to be manly and competitive with as little intrusion as possible, his display was magnificent.

I felt assured that if this is the standard of officials coming through then the game may well be in good hands, at least better than some available at present

Don't worry mont, the league ref association have plenty of time to brainwash him before he would help us out

Didn't see the Conference Final but it wouldn't have been hard to better yesterday's drab FA Cup Final.
After being top of the Conf for most of the season the Oxford team must be as sick as a parrot for not only giving up the top position but also missing out through the play-offs.
Well done to Morecambe though.
