Could two sides displace the usuals from the 'top four'?

Why not 3 teams?

Chelsea and United wont be caught. After that there are 5 points seperating Villa in 3rd and Birmingham in 8th.

I think we will see a new "top 4" this season. Whether its a new 2 or a new 1.

I think City will make a few buys in January, their new manager will want to fix the mistakes that Hughes has made.

Can see one doing it, but arsenal have two games in hand at the mo.
So the RS fourth place is well up for grabs question is are villa gonna do a repeat of last year and fall flat on their ars*s??...possibly
Spurs are fading fast, so as much as I hate to say it and providing their rich benefactors are going to bankroll him one last time Citheh are in the box seat IMO.

To be honest thats what has peed me off the most this season with bit of luck with injuries etc and a bit more of the fight they are starting to rediscover of late ....we could have easily made a claim for 3th of 4th

I think it will be the usual culprits.

I don't think Liverpool will fall out of the top 4, or Arsenal for that matter.

Spurs, Villa, and City don't have the experience either as players or manager, and the run in will see a much bigger gap opening.

The thing I see about this season is everyone is dropping points, and it will be a case of who drops the least.

total betty swollocks......

no such thing as a top four.. in theory yea theres 20 places so yea the top 4 will be as follows chelsea.. manure.. an any of thee other 18 teams coz who says its thee others god given right i hope if we cant villa man city tottenham or even birmingham make the top four.. sick of hearing same old shabite.... weve done it b4 so anyone can be called top four..... lets break this sayin an blow the prem wide open..... TOP 4 MY HARSE as ricky would say.........:@ :@ :@

Can't understand why people get so worked up about the expression 'the top 4'. The top 4 places in the prem give access to the CL and with it the honey pot. Of course there's no god given right for Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and the rs. The fact is however, those 4 teams have consistantly been in the CL positions in recent years. There's a reason for that. They've had better teams (or teams that performed better over 38 games) than the rest. Now it's also true that teams like City, Spurs, Villa and ourselves have been pushing hard in recent (or current) times. And this season, the famous 4, Sky 4, the big 4 or whatever people choose to refer to them as, are showing signs of vunerability. So there could be a change or two this season

I think that they will be broken up this year.................even SSN refer to them as the 'so called big four'......................I wonder why as they started it in the first place

Citeh wont do it...unless they spend another £100mill in January.

Spurs seemed to have hit a dip and do tend to have [Poor language removed] form at some point in the season.

Villa could do it, but they rely on pace and they havent had any real injury problems yet. Once that happens, they'll falter.

It depends on what Arsenal and the RS do. You know the RS will turn on the form now the ladyboy is back, and they've got Aquilani to prove something. Arsenal need to buy someone in January. If Wenger gets another Arshavin-style bargin, they'll be in the top 4 easily.

It'll be tight. But you top 3 will be United, Chelsea and Arsenal/Liverpool. 4th spot is up for grabs from Villa or Spurs. While Citeh havent lost many this season 10 draws mainly on the bounce and shocking defencive record speaks volumes.

Really can't see Liverpool finishing fourth. Even from a neutral and not a Blue perspective. One of them will finish above them, maybe even two. We'll see. Hopefully spurs, villa AND city will finish above them and 7th will await.

For as bad as Liverpool is, Spurs, City and Villa haven't pulled away from them. I still think they'll be 4th in the end. I can't see Arse falling out of the top 4, think they'll be closer to the top 2 and push for the title.

This year's top 10:

1. Man Ure - but only just
2. @rse - close, but too inconsistent
3. Chelski - fade and don't pick back up until after AfCoN
4. Citeh - Blip done, they'll start scoring and concede fewer when they drop Joleon
5. Villa - Fall away at the arse end of the season as per every year
6. Spuds - Off the boil and stuttering, a few flashes of form in small runs where they swear they're world beaters before getting sh it again
7. Us - Improving form really picks up through into new year as bodies come back and fresh legs introduced.
8. The [Poor language removed] - interminable run continues, Ian St John finally breaks down into a sobbing rage in the Sky Studios (actually felt bad for him yesterday - not much though)
9. Brum - Slow and steady hard working over achievers, Eck wants to be Moyesie when he grows up
10. Sunderland - Jekyll and Hyde season just enough to see them in the top half.

You read it here first.

Arsenal, Chelsea and United will all be fine, I reckon. I'm hoping that one of Villa, Spurs or Man City (in that order of preference) won't **** it up like we already have, keeping the RS out of the champion's league.

Really gutted to see how the top of the league is panning out this time around, our best chance to qualify for the CL and it comes about the year we're not up there.

Aren't Spurs putting four players up for sale in January? First sign of funds running low?
