The anti-thesis to the depressing town thread. Whats the town or city you have been to and throught, stone the crows, i like this place!

For me, Glasgow. Might seem a strange suggestion, but i like their wit and generally, a hospitable bunch.

Glasgow is a great city, as is Edinburgh. But Glasgow just shades it because of the people. It's a lot like Liverpool in many respects.

.

Really liked Bristol, but that was back in my student days visiting mates there, could have more to do with it being a good holiday, but very nearly almost transferred over there.
Haven't managed to get back since.

There is one city everyone should spend at least one week in, and that is NY. amazing plaze. Love it

Lived in Bristol for 9 yrs untill I got divorced and came back to Liverpool. Its a great place to live and so laid back. Bath is great place too so thumbs up there (y)(y)(y) Perth Western Australia and Hong Kong are fantastic places too.

I'll just pop in another vote for Bristol. I lived down in Somerset for a few years and Bristol was the nearest big City. It is a lovely place and has great architecture, lots of youth culture and is set alongside some lovely countryside. Football is rubbish there, though.

weird and random... but i'm going to put a vote in for bristol too.

i had a great weekend there years ago, and of course 'bristol cities' is my favourite cockney rhyming slang.

dylan... also i work with a guy from seattle who keeps telling me it's the best place on earth. so i guess half a vote from me, even though i've never been~!

San Diego, California, the weather is nothing but perfect year-round, ocean, golf
Seattle, Washington to second Dylan's comments, is beautiful
Vail Valley, Colorado, the scenery, the people and the outdoor life

Sheffield - Yorkshire - UK

Edmonton - Alberta - Canada(a side shout for Medicine Hat also)

Hamburg - Germany

Copenhagen - Denmark

Prague - Don't know where, someone gave me absynthe, I could have been in Disneyland for all I cared.
