what better after the ale house than a good old "andy murray".....thats a curry btw not a long shoite.

we tend to be creatures of habit with our indian food, once we arrive at one we like we crave it that much that we dont try anything else on the menu, for fear of having traded afine meal for one that we may not enjoy as much. we don't even try different curry houses if we can help it.

my current favourite from my local curry house "SUHANA" in Golborne is a "lamb tikka balti afsana" lots of fresh green chillies in there, accompanied by a "kulcha naan" and "pilau rice" with the obligatory poppadoms, chutney , onions, and the white palette cooling one.

I have to say I'm a fan of a good curry and Naan bread. I'm not really fussed on which type but butter chicken is my favourite.

My work colleague is also a fan of curry, his constant flactulance is a testament to the fact.

Nothing worse than trying a new one and ending up with some cream-fest with banana in it (happened to me recently).

Also, where does the GOT massive stand on pineapple in curry?

Personally I think fruit has no place in curry whatsoever.

I'm a balti bhuna with keema naan and keema rice kind of man myself.

try an afsana or a jalfrezi, the green chillies as well as being hot actually have a flavour as well, as opposed to one with 6 tablespoons of chilli powder to fire it up.
balti lahore is what the mrs gets which has more butter and garlic, the balti part of it tends to add a bit more tomato's/peppers/onions to the curry, as opposed to just a sauce.
Loyd Grossman, under whose name a range of factory-made British curry sauces is marketed, claims on his Balti sauce jar that the term comes from a word for "hubcap," since Indian truckers would cook their Balti in a hubcap.

No fruit in curry please, especially sultanas. I hated curry growing up cause no one knew how to use it (us being backward Aussies and all), it was either curried eggs, curried sausages or some sort of curry with sultanas in it.

chippy curry has sultanas, they usually do a hot sauce one as well though.
i've had a curry type meal (in bali i think) that had loads of fruity ingredients, twas nice tbh. there was no pineapple present i must add. some has nuts in too.

a good "lamb bhuna" followed by an extremely mild "butter chicken" are always high on my list in a curry house.
