I work in health care. If I did what he did. I'd be sacked and struck off, never allowed to work in the field again. Doesn't help me have sympathy for the bloke.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Standard practice in the old days but in this day and age I thought most players would be pretty health conscious. This (piss up) would have been on the night that we beat Soton 3-0.disappointed with professional athletes drinking copious amounts of alcohol even on their days off,
Only drink driving? Its scum and should be sackedThat's alright then fella, As long as it was only drink driving then, what a relief.
Just all an elaborate plot by the cyclist to call Accident helpline I reckon. Where there's blame there's a claim.
In all honesty if he is drink driving and hitting and running, it's either one of two things, he is either a scum bag or there are some serious underlying issues. Now I for one don't think the guy is a scumbag, so my guess and hope is that Everton help him through this time and more importantly he gets help himself. If he misbehaves again he is shown the door. We are a club with class and we should help our own.
Utter garbage if you were an employer who you had a person like Gibbo who was a sicknote the first chance you got legitimately to get him out of contract i.e. sack him you would take that opportunity - he is never fit never plays now he has a drink problem! That's alright then fella, As long as it was only drink driving then, what a relief.

Yeh every-things fine he nearly killed someone - any one else i.e. a normal member of the public you would be eating porridge in Walton jail!If you racially abused someone then bit another you'd be sacked as well though not given another better contract , courted by another employer and nominated for an award I wouldn't have thought .
Football is different , it just is and we all have to get used to that . Also in fairness it wouldn't effect the role I do other than the driving issue so it's not across the board that people would be dismissed .

This fella is a known drunk though who offers us nothing anymore. He is a waste of space.
So cos Pienaar offered us something at the time he is forgiven but our players gets injured a lot and so drink driving is a bigger offence than him?! What about pienaar hitting some bird? Also forgiven.
