2024/25 David Moyes

Have to admit, the club love giving us material don't they?

They could have gone for a safe choice, but no, they bring back Moyes.

"Can't have that lot on the internet bored. Get Moyes in".
There was/is no such thing as a "safe choice"
Whoever was chosen it was always going to split opinion. Ultimately, he should be judged by points gained, as should any new manager.
Unfortunately, too many have a firm and unshakeable opinion formed before a ball is even kicked.

The one thing I'll say of Moyes despite calling his brand of football a dross fest the last few days - of all the new managers in the bottom part of the table, we've got the best one. Southampton's manager keeps pushing this line that they're going to pull off the great escape, Leicester's is a busted flush and Potter's not got the magic touch after last night.

Up the Toffees

I haven’t posted for a really long time.

For me, this is fine. In a straight choice of dyche or moyes it’s moyes for me.

When he left and especially after he tried to unsettle players, i was really glad he failed at united. After his Spanish disaster, i actually got over it and felt a bit sorry for him. At least i felt kama has happened and we were “even”.

Moyes taking us into BMD as a premier league club will be absolutely fine by me. I’d have been happy for dyche to do it to be honest. Last season and the year before were terrific achievements from dyche and i think he’ll end up in time as very respected for keeping us up. This year was a disaster and dyche looked shot. Thanks for keeping us afloat, but it was clearly time for him to go, with some thanks for a job done quite well done (not this year) in strange times.

That said, I hated watching Everton under dyche, and lost a lot of love of Everton, but I really hated Everton during franks last season and even more during the FSW era.

Today i don’t feel as disconnected from Everton. I actually want to see the next game and am genuinely Interested to see if someone like Beto under moyes flourishes. Last week i had nothing to look forward to at all. I’ve even bothered to post!

Want a manager with a track record of keeping teams up after joining mid season? Yes

A manager who is available and wants to join the club? Yes

A manager who is used to working with a largely defensive squad of players? Yes

A manager who can progress teams on limited budgets and massively increase player value by developing players? Yes

A manager who can pull together a dressing room and demand respect immediately from the players? Yes

A manager with a repeated racial record of taking teams from the bottom half of the table to Europe? Yes

Friedkin’s hire Moyes…..ffs no not him, why haven’t you hired a ‘progressive’ manager (whatever TF ‘progressive’ even means)

Better than Carlo is a bit of a stretch.
Only slightly worse than Carlo, on a PPG metric. (1.54 Vs 1.60)

Maybe safe is the wrong word. Safer?

You have to admit there's some beautiful online content springing up.
