Years ago when I was seeing some mates down in Weymouth, I managed to convince a pub full of 'Dorset types' that 'oop north we all say David Niven instead of Don't Know.
'What time is it mate?'
'I David Niven.'
Anyway, I just heard from him, he's now living in Bournemouth or somewhere. He swears he just overheard some guys using our phrase.
Anyone else ever hear David Niven being used instead of Don't Know?
