Fernandes, where are you getting the video source from, ie, Youtube or video camera. There's loads of different software for different applications. Let me know and I'll PM you a link.
Windows Movie Maker is [Poor language removed], forget it.

Get Adobe Premier, thats pretty good. My mate used to make loads of highlight clips for my bball team and he used that. Keep it hush but i might be able to b*rn you a c*py if you like.

Premiere is a great program. Easy to use and will support most video and audio formats.

I dont really trust alot of the other programs, for the reason of keeping it simple. If you find something that works for you use it for sure, but you should start with Premiere if your starting from scratch. Its got alot in common with the more professional Avid system, and its simple to use.

Try Premiere Pro 1.5 or Premiere 7. You can download them somewhere... and you should pick up the basics quickly.
