Transfer Rumour Dele Alli

If Sig and Bernard move in the summer, we only have James that can play the dedicated number 10 role. We will never buy Alli and couldn’t afford him even if we wanted to (no matter how ‘minted’ we are, sorry lads). But a loan for a season is a win for every party. We get a player who has a bit of snide, a goal and a bit of finesse in the final third. Alli has a chance to get his career back on track and a foot in the England squad. Spurs get rid of a issue they have in their squad and possibly a better player at the end. We also keep our powder dry in terms of financial layout for an immediate replacement. I honestly think a loan would be a good deal for everyone. Do I think it will happen? Probably not but I don’t think it would be a bad deal at all. Spurs are nightmares to deal with so they’d probably take the mickey and charge us a mil per appearance or something haha

dont play with a number 10 mate

Destined for the gradual wind down to Newcastle or West Ham before Captaining Derby, Sunderland or QPR in a FA Cup tie against Spurs in 2025.

Swerve.

How much do you think he would cost?
we paid 45 for sig 3yrs Ago and a similar fee for Richarlison 2yrs ago.

We could definitely afford him if we wanted to, but for what he would cost, I’d rather spent the money elsewhere, and levy would definitely try and rip us off

Yup, we don’t specifically- I probably should have reworded that, when I say number 10, I’m of the thought that generally means ‘playmaker’ role even if the traditional 10 is dying out. Even if it’s not in the number 10 role exactly, that role is more of what I’m referring to in the original comment. Also when James didnt play, we moved to the 4231 with Sig in the 10 so it’s not out of the question.

It’s not even his ability that would be the issue, it’s all the ‘added’ bonus costs. England international, premier league rival, his overall reputation, being (rightly or wrongly) named the 55th best player in the world, Spurs being Spurs. I can easily see them asking 60/70mil+ if his contract situation is strong
