Still cant believe (if true) Ba would even have to consider picking between us and Newcastle there not bigger, better prospects nothing all they can offer is a bit more money.
Slowly falling out of love with the modern game, would understand if it was us against a top side playing in Europe.

Football is a job.
Jobs are for money.
Newcastle look to be offering more money.
Felt like that for ages mate, good post.
Blue tinted glasses aside, I someone offers you 50k a week, and someone offers you 20% more, who are you going to choose. Tradition has no place in the modern game.

That said you would be amazed at some of the contracts, some Man U players were on over the years compared to players at other clubs.
He has a point though, personaly if he came to us for less money i would think a lot of him as we are clearly the best footballing choice presently.
100% true but seeing as he's going to be filthy rich either way you'd hope he'd choose us, I guess that's just me being biased.
But yeah it comes down to money money money, saying that however, if Newcastle have offered him more why hasn't he signed for them already?
That's a good point. If he did turn down a better offer financially to come to us, that would say a lot about his ambition and his character.
Can't see that being the case though.
Footballers have a short career and you can't blame them for wanting to scrape as much money out of it as possible.
As for your last point, I have no idea. If it's true he's out of the country then maybe he's tasked his agents with brokering the best deals possible before coming back and picking one himself.

Yes but that age has come to an end, isn't Rooney on nearly a million quid a month or something ridiculous.
Bearing in mind - would you argue or ask for a payrise from Fergie? I know I'd be terrified.
