That is the worry. We dont want an argentinian james beattie.

Pronunciation wise the argentinians seem to pronounce his name: Strak-wa-lucy.

Still can't believe we sold Beckford - who had a great shot and pace on him. Ok his touch was sometimes a bit errant and he struggled like sh!t in a 4-5-1 but that wasn;t always his fault.

im with you on beckford , he didnt get any service for his type of game, i would have kept him, but i think he will do well for his new club and if moyes didnt want him theres no piont hanging onto him.

hopefully with the move , big crowds it might get him motivated, we wait an see if we dont expect great things it willl not be a let down, and i have got a feeling it might just come good, baines and coleman when he is fit and the new dutch fella on wing we might get a good few crosses in.

Yes its the small dutch guy who could well be the answer to all Stracqualursi's prayers, if he can deliver a decent cross there is a good chance the big argie will get on the end of it, i just hope that we dont just hoof the ball up and hope for the best

I think his team surely wouldn't have been particularly great service wise? I hope Everton change the way we play from now on and really play to our strengths and get passing and play quicker

Good point. I was talking to an Argentinian mate who played at youth level for Tigre. He said he hadn't seen much of the lad but scoring goals for Tigre was no mean feat as they don't create that many chances.

I hear ya mate..just read from an ex-scout, karlsentk Tor-Kristian Karlsen, on twitter..
"i watched him several times in argentina this spring, i remember thinking he looks like a centre-back being played up front"

but also said

"powerful, strong in the air, good shot but movement was poor, little finesse, dodgy touch... (stracqualursi)"

hmmm...not so confident now, sounds like Victor :(

He scores goals, i dont care how, but he scores goals. Victor doesnt.

*facepalms* sounds like he'll fit right in.

Moyes has had some promising attacking pairings:

Beattie-Johnson
Johnson-Yakubu
Saha-Beckford

If he'd given them a chance we would have got goals out of them. For some reason he doesn't play them together, preferring instead to get one of them running around, defending from the front and not scoring.

Am I the only one that thinks he looks like Klinger from the show M.A.S.H?

Apparently Wigan signed him mate, the top scorer from the previous season in Argentina, Durham said his name before and nobody has heard of him, so he says being top over there means nothing. He is a cynical barstard though.
