Hi, simple question from an armchair EFC fan but how is it the same team can perform well against City etc and then not perform at all against Wolves? By perform I mean putting in effort, chasing, tackling, attacking, showing a bit of spirit. I mean apart from a change or two in the line up it's virtually the same team is it not? Or is that the reason, were they some key players missing against Wolves? Did we play different formations maybe across those games? Just wondering if someone who actually pays attention more than I do could tell me how the same team can be so good and then so bad in the space of a few weeks!

ps. Think we'll go 2-0 down on Thursday then win 3-2.

Cheers!

Early start :pint2:

Think we played a different formation against City, three centre mids, than against Wolves, not sure about the others. But whatever formation we need it has to have a midfield three in my view, we are too weak there otherwise.

When things go wrong the game plan goes out the window it desends into random nothingness hoping something will happen
give the ball to Gordon or Gray who are like the best kid in school at footy they don't pass the ball just run down dead ends
rinse and repeat

We played 5 at the back v wolves which meant that we just passed backwards constantly and did nothing in possession

Our best chance of the game came from Mykolenko just lobbing a ball forward for richarlison to run onto

The midfield was non existent
