Do Evertonians focus too much on LFC?

The Liverpool thread on here has got me thinking. Now I get the rivalry and that but the gap between the two clubs right now and for some time is absolutely massive.

Everton have little right to compare themselves to Liverpool right now and if we are ever to get to that stage should we perhaps kneel before them, so to speak, and just crack on with focusing on ourselves and other clubs around us instead?

I have also noticed that Kopites are obsessed with us.

When they won the league an no Evertonian was bothered, it ruined them and they didn't know how to react. It's like when you break up with your ex, you're not bothered about them in the slightest after it and they are still craving your attention, calling you the jealous one.

If we ever win a trophy I will be made up for us and every other Evertonian, not even think about them in the slightest. Where as when they win a trophy it's like, "I can't wait to brag to my Evertonian mates in work about it. " Guess that's what happens when the closest you get to supporting your team is down the pub. They'll never get the to experience what it actually feels like to support a team properly, not just jump on a bandwagon and use it a gloating tool in their miserable lives.

It’s certainly a problem with the Twitter generation. Obsessed with trying to “banter” people, as if we are in any position to banter a Liverpool fan about anything. Best way to wind them up is tell them you don’t even watch them or know the score of their games whenever they bring up footy. It kills them to hear that they’re irrelevant to you, even if it’s not true, just pretend it is. It leaves them speechless every time.

Going by what i see on facebook and the comments section on the red echo site etc, kopites obsess about us way more than we do over them!

I don't really care about them, but that's probably as I don't live near Liverpool and we've not been rivals for a league place in years.

But, I work with an internet Liverpool fan (who described the areas/housing around the Liverpool ground as 'really dodgy') who was today talking about the champions League final like it was happening tomorrow, Liverpool v Man City. The guy chatting to him said how he was just assuming and he just carried on with it.

I'd find that annoying whoever it is, Liverpool fans just do it more
