Do we have the worst attack in the league?

Gordon, McNeil and Gray have all been terrible but also look beyond that to see why it's so bad.

Onana and Gueye have a poor passing range so rarely pick out a ball that gets the team on the front foot. Together with Iwobi it is likely that those 3 starters will contribute less than 5 goals over an entire season.

With Coleman and Mykolenko having started over the last month you have two full backs that contribute next to nothing in the final third. That leaves us with attacking players, who have been dreadful anyway, isolated and without anyone to link up with. Even DCL is only a battering ram largely incapable of being involved in any intricate build up play.

People talk about the need to buy players in January to fix this problem, but unless you sign the absolute best quality (which we won't) then the problem will largely persist due to the overall set up.

Said for a while the fullback don't provide anywhere near enough. Coleman coming in barely crosses the half way line anymore and Myko is the Tony Hibbert of left backs (defence focused).

Going 3 at the back should force them up the pitch. Give Vinagre a run out Tuesday.
