I think that as a forum there has been a lot of disdain displayed for Geordies and their team. My good self included.

It includes mocking hysterical OTT reactions to results, the fancy dress and pantomime proclivities of the fan base, and top less fat men.

Worse is probably dire predictions of mad spending sprees, wasting cash and going nowhere. Chuck in sneering at the appointment of Eddie Howe and there ain't much love lost for the North East's sole Premier league team.

Well, they are third in the table (at the time of writing) and going great guns. They look to have invested wisely in players. Do we owe them an apology? They're not even that fat and cringey, right?
