I just moved to Yorkshire and got a pork pie and a pint.

The pie came hot and with mushy peas.

This is not a pork pie. They are cold, full of jelly and have never even heard of mushy peas.


Although to be honest it was quite nice, especially when washed down with a pint of Keighley's finest ale (Timmy Taylor).

Meat and potato pies are the king. And don't let the cornish folk convince you they make the best ones. Wigan is where it's at!

Dawson's meat and potato, coupled with a Dawson's meat pie.

Nothing better. Unfortunately they are only available in Leigh.

Always been a bit concerned about the ambiguity of 'meat' pie....

You wouldn't buy anything else that was so vague.
