Yes, most people like to pick a starting 11, and the same 'most people' by the time 80 minutes is played need to make a change. But being such a 'know all'
it probably wouldn't happen to you.

Catterick to create the new Joe-Joe offensive, which failed miserably.
 
I hope we sell him. He’s really not the answer. Rather take a profit and go back to the well.

If we don’t sell, I hope I’m wrong but I think his success was more due to the players around him.

Agree, James made most of his goals unfortunately we have nobody with the same vision. Could always get James back he would make the goals for DCL.
 

The question surrounding him this season for me is purely fitness. We were crying out last season for a striker who could aleviate pressure at the back by winning aerial duels when it was punted out / holding the ball up in their final third or at least away from our goal. He can offer that. I see no reason why he can't get at least 10 goals this season if he stays fit. There were so many low driven crosses from Gray and Gordon last season that DCL thrived on under Ancelotti. The most important piece of recruitment this summer is a CM capable of doing something with the ball. So many of our players will elevate if we do that - DCL, Gordon, Mykolenko etc. I hope we go all in on Zinchenko as he would be the perfect LCM for us.

I never get this argument, there have been lots of successes in the world of football that needed other good players around them. It is not an individual sport, if you have good players who are creative and have good crossing ability then you need someone good enough to be in the right place and be able to finish the chance. Calvert-Lewin could be that man, if we can get players around him.

It is not just a case of sticking anybody in there and they will get 15+ a season because the service is good. There is so much more to it, positioning, heading ability, instinct, etc.

What? I think it was due to him playing most the season in comparison to being injured most of last season.
He will be focused trying to break into the England squad, a good start and an England selection he is worth 20m more in janauary.
Worth the risk I think.
