Again we come back to this its everyone else. He plays in a better side but watkins has 12 assists this season. Calvert lewin 1.
He probably wouldnt get a game at villa as his movement isnt good enough.

Hilarious nonsense.

Watkins wouldn't score 1 for us as he's not used to having to do everything himself in a team that doesn't support him and is half a pitch away from him.

I mean it's not "everyone else" - we set up to not favour any striker ever, doesn't matter who he is - he's running like a headless chicken chasing dead balls all game, it is how it is.

In a team set up for a striker to play as a striker and score goals - he will, like he did when we had Carlo, who knows how to set up a team so that they score goals. You know who else does? Unai Emery. You know who has no clue how to do it in the Premiership? Sean Dyche.

This is the 3rd season in a row watkins has hit double figures. This is the only season villa have been decent.
Calvert lewin hasnt his double figures in 4 years.
Im hoping we are not back here in a years time having the same discussion

Doesn't matter who the striker is, if they play for Dyche 10 goals is an absolute miracle.

Is it? It's literally what's happening and there's plenty of websites to show you how much we don't play for a striker - any striker - to score goals.

It will happen with anyone new as well (who will fit the same mold - tall, athletic, runs a lot).

Id take a runner over calvert lewin tbh. A andy johnson type.
I dont know why people get so worked up over this like they're his relations or something. We've had very little from dom in the last 3 to 4 years. Its like its blasphemy to suggest we start looking around for a more consistent forward.
