So not comparing footballers or ability but under Carlo playing in a low block Keane looked better , not excellent obviously but better , ultimately playing footballers in a system that suits their abilities they look better and it certainly wouldn’t surprise me to see DCL move on and us see an improvement in his goal returns .

Where I will give dyche credit is in relation to his fitness and injuries he’s probably managed that better than anyone

Same number of goals as Son, Vardy, Mateta, Cunha, Solanke, João Pedro, Johnson and Gordon so far this season.

I guess you don't rate any of them at all and they wouldn't start for anyone either ?

Cole Palmer scored more in 20 minutes so that means they're all crap.

Mate you are seriously not comparing him to the above after a few games. We have been stuck with him for 6 season or so now. You surely cant rate him.

He'll get those wage demands from January, comfortably because there will be no transfer fee.

He'll then score more goals than he does here and you'll just say "yeah well he was crap here". Like you did with Gordon. Like you will with Onana.

I have said DCL is crap for years I have never changed my stance.

He's the only striker we've had to score two hatricks in one calender month since Dixie Dean.

He's been rushed back from serious injuries
to soon time and time again as we've had no one capable of replacing him since Don Carlo's days, which at the time he was only behind Kane in the pecking order for England.

Injury to Richarlison after the summer where the Brazilian FA chose him for TWO tournaments did for both his future fitness and DCL's because they both had to play while injured.

DCL hopefully has turned the corner, Richarlison isn't quite right yet for Spuds.

Time will tell.

This Dyche team creates very little up front how did DCL do under Ancelotti?
He shut people down on this thread like you back then - we simply don't create enough - DCL gad a average game like 8 other players on Saturday ok !

Under Dyche last season, we created 63 big chances. Under Carlo it was 59 and 48. Proof

Also, a player having a 3 month purple patch in 8 years, isn't the brag you think it is. It's like me telling my missus "ey, remember when I did the dishes every night for 3 months in 2020. I mean sure, I've smashed loads since, flooded the kitchen and left the rest to pile up, but what a time"

Stat & Stats - the main factor is we now play Hoof ball - under Ancelotti he had a playmaker & scored his goals from crosses & in the box - he did that well in that era he got called up for England -

DCL has never been a clinical one on one goalscorer - but ATM he is the best CF on the books - do you really want Beto ploughing a furrow up there - He can't score or trap a bag of cement ....... Broja if fit may do better, but his fitness record is worse than DCLs ?
