How many of those games does he have per season? 1 maybe 2 at most, the fact we remember them speaks volumes.

I happen to think we kill his effectiveness more than him being bad. He's one of the most misused players I've seen in 30+ years. If he was dropping off someone like Dunc, we'd look like an actual side with a purpose...as it is, we'd be better off consulting a fortune teller for help.

I’m not sold, I get your point of not many strikers would flourish under Dyche but I do believe most would do better.

His finishing is absolutely terrible. Regardless of how many chances we make, he’s so poor in front of goal.

He also must be so easy to mark, his movement is non existent

He's a part of a puzzle, not Batistuta. Just like Gana is not Zidane.

64 starts, 11 as sub in the last 2.5 seasons.
11 goals.

Only thing he's leading is on offsides. Done it a couple of times on Saturday where a long ball is played up and he's standing in an offside position. That's not good enough as it's a lack of focus. I know it's hard playing up top in this system, but in the moments where you need to relieve pressure in defence, its no good having a striker 2 yards offside for no other reason than not being arsed to ensure they're onside.

I think it's only a matter of time before Broja takes his position.

If he were half decent at scoring goals in EPL he would be long gone at this stage of his contract. Anyone who believes otherwise are the same reasons that Everton FC have found themselves in recent years.

People keep saying this like he has some sort of prolific record to back himself up with. None of our strikers score goals.

It's the alternative that hasn't been tried yet. At the current rate, Dom finishes on about 5 goals. We know Beto would probably score more but to the detriment of what little football we play we know Dyche won't use him.

That leaves Broja with a chance to jump the queue and see if he can add a goal or 2.

Most wouldn't hold the ball up the way he does, and the way Dyche likes
There is a reason he has always been first choice when fit under Dyche

Crosses from the byline to attack with his head and balls pinged across the 6 yard box would suit him much more but he doesn't get enough of either under Dyche

Keep in mind that when he does fashion a chance and has time to think about it the pressure on his chances are far more than the pressure on strikers that know they'll get a few chances in a game.

As for the last part, defenders clearly don't enjoy playing against him

they must do, playing against a striker with limited movement that doesnt score goals is a dream for most defenders.
