Lazy, bordering xenophobic comparison, very distasteful from some fans.
Can see why United paid 40m for him, hes 50 times the player that crapper Fred is and dont even get me started on the Buckfast Honey Monster McTommy.

Ive actually decided that maybe he wasnt anything super special today.....its just that that specific type of midfield performance for us has seemed so rare for years that it stood out as great!
As I keep saying, footy is an easy game, good players and I realise its only 1 game, but good players make footy look easy.

He's a player who is always moving and looking for the forward pass. Surely he fits us a lot more than some of the static and clumsy players we've got in the team? Meh, not really. Have to admit was surprised to see the comment “Fred provides a lot more defensively, especially with his pressing, and does an ok level of ball progression, which Van de Beek doesn't really match.” as whenever I’ve watched Fred for United he has been pretty poor - although tbf I haven’t watched that many of their games this season.

Assuming all goes well these next couple months im happy we will either have VDB doing well and signing or we will be going for somebody else of similar capabilities....if cheaper..
