little curly alan ball

Player Valuation: £70m
,
That NOT ONLY is our fav' Ladyboy City bound , but Stevie G La , has told them that the Pontins European Cup - Europa League -, will not suffice for him next year , and there was a meeting of Club Sec;s at the Emitates , last month , where even the Lpool rep; , basically , openly admitted it .
Real Madrid , bound , apprantly to join his amigo , Xavi .

Woop - woop !!!

Brilliant if its true.
A 'source' told me that Torres is deffo off somewhere but Stevie G is staying. Would make my transfer window though!

If Liverpool lose those players they will really struggle next season.

They have had a golden ticket with Gerrard for years. It's quite amazing how they have consistantly failed to build a side around him.

I cant believe how bad they have been by losing one player. The Aquilani thing is strange but in some ways Moyes did the same with Billy most of this season. One of our most expensive players on the bench. A 20M player such as Aquilani should be able to fit straight into any team in the world and do the business, he wasnt played because he might get injured again...crazy.

Unless they get bought out which I reckon could happen they will fall to bits, with a bit of luck :)

Rafael was dribbling that out in the press last weekend.....

When the RS commentators were saying in the ECHO "this could be the end of Liverpool Football Club as we know it"... how right they were :P

If both go, or just one, can you see where a replacement will come from? Because I can't see anyone going there with their turbulence.

If it happens I can see them seriously struggling next season because the kopites will be even more on their backs and at each others throats.

Good times.

Oh I never felt more like singin the blues.... when Everton win and Liverpool lose... oh Everton you got me singin the blues...

I'd rather Gerrard stayed and continued to put in sulking performances when it emerges in September that they have no chance of the league.

He's 30, he's past his best now and in three years he'll be well past it. I'd rather they never got the money for him.

This is why it's important that Hicks and Gillett have bought time - with the banks' connivance - to sell their shares. Pressure for them to sell up in the short term I suspect would have seen some big hitters swoop in for a deal, and a finance package for the team put together pretty quickly which would have reassured some star players at the club.

Am I the only person bothered that Torres is off to City?

Like him or loathe him, he's one heck of a player. Liverpool are spent, we need to be looking past them, and at the next team that are likely to keep hold of 4th, aka City.

who's going to replace him tho?

thats the key. no youth players shown they can (or have even been seen!) and who will they buy? Because a younger version would already have been bought up or would cost more money too that they'll receive.

I hope it happens.

The thing they've shown themselves totally incapable of doing: bringing new youth players in year on year.

We had a list on here on the Everton forum yesterday and LCAB and others went through prospects for at least bringing one player in to the squad every year for the next 4 years!

That says something.

I'd rather they attempted to answer that in a few years without the £30 to £50m they'd get for Gerrard.

The 30 year old midfielder will have to be replaced sooner rather than later.

But if Torres leaves, I suspect thats all the excuse Gerrard needs to play his leaving card.

The absolutely hilarious thing is that Gerrard's the one doing all the talking on their shirt/season ticket advertising campaigns right now...

what they gonner do when he jumps on that plane ?

Not disagreeing with 'source'

But hasn't Torres more or less said if he ever left it would be back to Spain as he couldn't play agaisnt the sh1te? Imagine him at Barca.

Also i can see GBH staying, there is something going on behind the scenes that isnt quite right with that lad. Think he'l be there till he retires meself but asi say don't disagree with 'source'. Would be funny if it happend like
