I'd like a genuine conversation between the board and ownership team and the fans about their strategic vision and areas of demarcation and responsibility. In my time as a Blue (first match 19th March 1966 as a 5 year old) the club has changed from a professional football club full of strong minded and often ruthless leaders to an old boys and girls club with a soft under belly that has wasted the kind of money that our best managers would have killed for. I run a Facebook fan group that has grown from nothing to 7,200 members since 21st June 2020 and we have lots of die hard home and away Blues who feel the same way that I do. In a nutshell, the club needs to be fully transparent so that (in good times and in bad times) we, the fans, know who has made and continues to make the key decisions in terms of season to season financials and recruitment. We want our key decision makers to be open about how they make those decisions and to stop using mouthpieces in the mainstream media to present narratives that are appropriate for the moment to protect individual's backsides and throw other's derrieres under the bus. This (21/22) season has proved beyond all doubt that the club is nothing without the fans. We have given our heart and soul for this club in a way that was raw and completely unfiltered. Don't we deserve the same honesty in return? (P.s. Sorry it's so long, but the club is my passion).
