Guys,

The website just went down for five minutes and I was inundated with texts, e-mails and tweets. While I appreciate the enthusiasm, please understand that at peak times the website is liable to being inaccesible for a short period.

'Forum Supporters' have priority access at busy times, but there is only so much the server can handle.

Spike traffic (sudden, instant mass traffic) on the back of big news floods the server, which then reboots which takes a few moments. If the website is busy on the back of big news, please only report downtime when the site has been unavailable for 15/30 mins.

I'm sure you actually realise that it's down, and given that you will also be trying to get back on it's fair to say that it will be a right pain in the arse.


* edits speed-dial to put Danny on 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 & 9.

You meen you cant answer all the e-mails tweets etc when your trying to fix the problem (shakes head) i thought you were superman but now i see you are only on a par with the silver surfer.:P
