Apparently it gives around 1% less fuel economy than the current E5. The vast majority of peoples driving styles negatively affects fuel economy much more.
And if your car is one of the 5% currently on the roads that are not compatible with E5 then E10 will still be available. Albeit in the higher octane "Super" unleaded variety which is a little pricier.

It's not as good as green diesel.
I researched it on Google VW Golf before 2010 are vulnerable MR @COYBL25 - It works but damages your engine valves plus eats away at fuel lines on petrol cars before 2010 plus it is less economical on all petrol cars even after 2010 - there will be % pumps for unleaded for a short term .....I'm screwed, says my diesel won't run on it...
Forcing most motorist off the road......in the future - yet aeroplanes burn pure crude paraffin - no restrictions there they are the biggest polluter in travel -
