eBay and the Royal Mail

For anyone else who is fed up paying through the nose for P&P on eBay can I ask you to join my Facebook cause 'Boycott eBay sellers who don't use Royal Mail'? as, regardless of RM's attitude towards its postal workers, I still prefer a cheaper, faster service than some of these slow, expensive couriers that a lot of the Power Sellers use. I also don't want to help the REAL oposition from threatening my job!

(I know the 'faster' part of my post my seem ironic but neither I, nor the sorting office where I work, have been on strike, so don't blame me if you haven't been getting your mail!)

Agreed Pete, I have paid for espress delivery from these clowns and it takes longer than normal. Seven days to get from England to Northern ireland, a joke. The parcel seems to spend an age at their Hub. Best of luck

I charged 5.99 for postage on two paper tickets, not knowing how much it would cost much to my surprise it cost 4.95

well we charge £10 to ship most heavy items around the uk, and we use interlink which is a next day courier !!

to ireland it takes 2 days but is the same price, unlike royal mail who charge a fortune !

also going abroad france, germany etc it is £13 postage for items as big as a computer. royal mail or parcelforce cant come close !!

the only time we use royal mail other than for small items with no value is to uk postcodes like the scotish highlands as you have to charge the same amount as mainland uk

sorry mate.. but royal mail needs to sort itself out price wise to compete with the big boys!!

i work as a courier and ebayers use a company called - parcel2go or interparcel and we have to deliver the parcels on a next day delivery.

most senders say its with the courier to take the heat off them so my advise would be to simply ask for a tracker number and then you can see if they are BS or genuine sellers.

But surely if you're looking for an item cheap you search & sort based on the cheapest price including p&p - it's the actual amount you pay that matters not the split between item price & p&p.
