Do my head in when they advertise that it will come well in advance for christmas and will be posted the next day, Now im left with no presents for someone and minus a present for someone else , hoping which is doubtful they come in the post on christmas eve.

I know i left it late but it ended on Tuesday and for next day postage, which is the main reason i bought it off them, Im not happy im now crapping it not having someone a present for the actual day.

Had a similar problem with Amazon Germany. Having ordered well in time they waited until the last minute to notify that one out of two items was now unavailable, and then posted the one remaining item (which was pointless without the one which wasn't available) which will now arrive after Christmas. No option to cancel order. Lucky it wasn't a main part of a present.

use words like 'fraud', 'fraudulent', 'liar' 'parasite' and 'bandit' for extra effect.

same with Everton, had a bold date saying "Order before the 17th and have your order in time for christmas"

Complaints about the late arrival of online deliveries have risen by a third in the run-up to Christmas, according to a government advice service.

Consumer Direct says it has received 3,000 complaints in six weeks.

Royal Mail says the "vast bulk" of Christmas post will arrive on time and online retailer Amazon says its delivery success rate is above 99%.

Meanwhile, retailers reported Saturday was their busiest day of the year with sales exceeding expectations for many.

The UK's 27 million online shoppers are expected to have spent £15bn online in the run-up to Christmas Day - up 60% on last year, according to Interactive Media and Retail Group (IMRG), the industry body for the electronic retail community.

Online retailers use a variety of courier companies to make deliveries to customers, as well as Royal Mail.

Amazon says it has been dispatching 750,000 parcels a day in the run-up to Christmas.

Royal Mail has predicted that it will deliver a record 120 million items ordered over the internet this festive season - double the number handled three years ago.

In total, it expects to deliver some two billion items of Christmas post.

A spokesman on Sunday said the organisation was "on track" with deliveries, saying claims of problems caused by postal workers failing to check recipients were in before leaving "you were out" cards "completely distorted the picture".

Not just ebay - I ordered something on Nov 11th and it arrived on Saturday with a note saying sorry it's not exactly what I ordered but hoped it was okay! Well, it bloody wasnt okay but I'm stuffed now because it's too late to send it back and get what I actually asked for!

Annoying. Oh and not only that but I see that the item I ordered (but didnt get) is now being advertised at less than half the price I paid for it.

It gets worse.......I went out this morning to get something else as a pressie and guess what, my car broke down, radiator knackered. It can't be repaired til after the hols.

So, no pressie, no car and when I get the bill for the repair - no money!

send the replacement back, get your money back and pick up the item you wanted at the 50% cost.

its against the ebay rules to send replacements that werent actually those that werent in the auction.

remember, negative feedback works, just dont use profanity.

It isn't just limited to you guys. Out here a mate of mine's wife had baked up 5 loaves of Banana Bread to send to her brother and paid $48 for guaranteed next day shipping (It WILL be delivered by 11am Friday morning) and it never showed.

I'd be asking for some money back if it was me.
