Give me the game before foreign imports when it was played by people with some backbone, and as it happened British teams did well. What makes it even sweeter is they didn't play too badly at all. I hope they get it to 3-0 at the pit and Suarez puts the ball in the back of the net off of his teeth in the 97th minute, then runs the full length of the pitch to the kop and lifts his shirt, revealing a picture of Kenny Dalglish.

Nah, the decision will go to VAR and they'll find out Suarez's teeth were offside.

Best thing to do is for Barca to just get an early goal and make the rs run around like knobheads for 90 minutes
 
So the cicrumstances that determine the kopite season.

As it stands the two league games are wins for them. Let's not make any illusion on that, After all, they were going to get a result against barcelona.

HOWEVER

these are the potential circumstances;

Resting players against newcastle. Probably won;t make a huge difference as its season over for them but dropping their big names for a title charge game is dangerous still, especially away. Alternatively play the first team as they still can win the title.

Barcelona at home. Have to go the full 90 minutes, first choice team which is worse if they play against newcastle. So that will take everything to even have a chance of a result and chasing a 3-0 loss will mentally drain them if they fail.

Which then leaves wolves at home. again easy win for them and if city falter the title is theirs

BUT

city beat leiscter at the weekend. Watford and Everton both win AND wolves lose. that puts us and watford a point behind them going into the final game of the season meaning for wolves to go from championship to europa league within 12 months, they need to win their last game.....against liverpool. So instead of a season over game for them and therefore a easy win for the kopites, they have to play all out one final time and potentially can take at least a point there. After a grueling 90 minutes either way next week, that will be a tough game for liverpool to get through.
