I must admit I watch a lot of Spanish footy, and Barca usually aren't too bad with the all the diving antics, etc, and normally it takes a lot to see Messi dropping to his arse. The only thing I can think of that made them at it more last night was they'd watched a video of the RS (and Salah especially) so thought they would get in on the act first before the RS started their conning of the ref!

Amazing how the definition of a foul changed minute by minute last night.

Liverpool player = there's definitely contact there. Foul

Barca player: there's not enough contact there. No foul.

I had the same mate, supposedly Messi only scores the odd great free - kick and does a few nutmegs, and that has people falsely mentioning him in the same breath as real footy legends (he lumped Dalglish in that list, and said Messi wasn't fit to lace Dalglish's boots ) Also, the only player my RS mate said he would take out of that Barca team was Suarez.

Well, a little known fact actually, uniquely amongst modern day football clubs, Barcelona never use video footage of prospective opponents games as part of their training process. It's part of the players' contracts that they never expose themselves to any footage of their opponents pre-match, preferring (as the management team say) "to go in cold". Seems to work lollollol

But it’s ok for Carragher to shout and scream like a demented seal when Pickford dropped that clanger in the derby live on air, but when it’s done off camera the RS go mad. Also Carragher did similar in the sky studio 2 years ago when mane scored at Goodison. Double standards for the special dispensation club.
