ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

So I guess I should reply to this.

My view is this... and I’ve said as much on the Liverpool forum I use...

The bus welcoming on its own is fine, and I like that some people enjoy it, and I’m sure it’s anpositive for our players.

But, and it does come with a but, I think more should be done by our own fans and by the club to reduce the fervour.

I don’t like the welcoming of visiting teams coaches, personally, mainly because it is far easier for things to get out of hand when the atmosphere is negatively charged, rather than positively charged.

I don’t see the coach welcoming as something to condemn. I think it’s a positive overall - though I’ve never been involved with one myself for various reasons - but there are some actions within that should be condemned.

I think there is a responsibility for reds to play a part - along with police and the club - to stop thing like scallies climbing on top of police cars to get a better view, etc.

Obviously, if anyone throws stuff at a coach, that should be condemned.

But as an overall thing, the act of gathering to welcome your team - whether you think it’s amazing or the most pathetic thing known to man - isn’t something that needs to be condemned.

Gathering for a home game against Norwich to open the season isn’t going to be a negative thing, it’ll be in fantastic spirits welcoming the reigning European champions akin to the homecoming parade.

I won’t be there, but I don’t have a problem with it.

Organised intimidation, no more no less.

As a cult member you can't see this.

If that post isn't a total wind up then it is absolute pure and utter drivel.
If there is one football club in the world who has blood on their hands due to their fans behaviour it is yours.
Don't you ever learn? Don't you ever step back and give such things just a little bit of thought?
It was just pure luck than no one got hurt when your fans blatantly launched a highly organised and pre-planned assault
on the City bus which was condoned by the Merseyside Police force.
You are quick enough to shout from the rooftops when one of your fans get hurt, but its OK to attack an opposing team bus
when it is arriving to fulfil a fixture.
As I say if your not on the wind up, it proves just how sick & twisted Liverpool football club is and the animals who 'support' them.
You have no morals. You have no shame. It is why your fans and your club are despised the world over.

Not sure if the entirety of this is a wind up or not.

You think hundreds of fully grown men setting off flares round a bus over a game is ok? Every time I see your lot do it I cringe so hard my face turns inside out.

Then there's the organised violence when the opposition coach shows up - that's when your lot really show your true colours... Some naughty spray painting you're all up in arms but writing off a coach whilst it's carrying another team is fine.

You are here trying to claim the moral high ground when it's not yours to claim, for every Everton related incident, theres 100 Liverpool related incidents so if I was you I'd keep quiet.

Any fanbase that has to organise 'passion' is Jarg.

Exactly. It's a rhetoric, it's empty. I can guarantee the majority of 'Liverpool Supporters' couldnt name 5 of their players - yet they strut around in their full kit waving their half and half scarves.

Grown men trying to outdo each other with their 'pashun'. It's almost like a mental illness - trying so desperately to be part of something because they want to belong. Thing is they dont know when to stop trying and that's when you get the aggression, violence, masturbating in public, drinking your own urine on top of a street light, throwing people into fountains, paving slab dropping wall pushing mentalists.

The club is complicit in this, all it would take is condemnation from the top, but as usual they keep quiet.

Sheep following sheep.

I’m confused why you chose to only read my reply from the third paragraph but people can be strange, I guess.

Anyway, go back and read the second paragraph, where I say i don’t like the welcoming of away team buses.

The city bus is got out of hand, with a few dicks throwing bottles. It was out of order and it shouldn’t happen. I’d like it never to happen again.

I’m not sure how saying positively welcoming your own players is good, but negatively welcoming away players is bad, can be considered a wind up.

As I say fella - I have put your previous post down as a wind up.
Give it a rest. You are not funny or clever just lamentable.
Why come on your biggest rivals forum and spout such drivel?
Pathetic.

2 points here. Setting off a flare in that setting is ok by my reckoning, as long as theres some consideration for doing it safely. If it’s done at a risk of others then that’s not ok, but the act of setting off a flare on its own is ok.

But whether it makes you cringe? That’s fair enough. I’ve never been minded to join in one of these gatherings, so am obviously not massively bought in on it, but I also don’t cringe. Opinions on these things are allowed to differ though.

Then there's the organised violence when the opposition coach shows up - that's when your lot really show your true colours... Some naughty spray painting you're all up in arms but writing off a coach whilst it's carrying another team is fine.

Like all things... it’s a handful of bad apples that cause trouble and give a bad name to the rest. I think calling it “planned violence” is a bit daft though.

Some of your lot were scrapping last season at millwall, and was there another game too? Doubt that was the majority of you, but a few who chose to make trouble or got involved when opportunity arose.

The bellends that do more than cheer the coach deserve criticism and more needs to be done (as I said) by all parties including the fans to stop it.

I haven’t heard of trouble at one of these other than city though - not that it diminishes the trouble with the city coach.

You are here trying to claim the moral high ground when it's not yours to claim, for every Everton related incident, theres 100 Liverpool related incidents so if I was you I'd keep quiet.
If you want to say I’m claiming moral high ground, ok. But I’m not, and I havent. I’ve criticised on both sides, and also recognised that it’s a minority in those instances anyhow.

I’ve had one scrap in my life when I was 17, got my nose busted, and tend to not get involved in trouble. I think people that do are generally idiots. It doesn’t matter to me what colour shirt they’re wearing when they do it.
