ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Only Liverpool matches I’m bothered about now are ones against the relegation teams

They’re more likely to beat the relegation teams if they need points for top 4 because they didn’t get any playing City. We’ve all seen them turn up for the big games this season then give Leeds Forest and Bournemouth three points. I’d rather they got beaten badly by City and Chelsea then take it out on a Southampton or Leeds.

They’ve pulled out of internationals, clearly because they’re actually injured and not because City are resting them up for the run in like any normal club would do. Nope, it’s because Big Red sent the boys round to kneecap them during the night.

Well Foden had his appendix out and is out for four weeks and Haaland is in Barcelona having treatment on a groin injury so how have City faked this?

I think Haaland will play.
My gut feeling is that Haaland misses this one or maybe makes the bench at best. Big month for City in three competitions and I suspect we're probably making the CL the number one target this season. With that in mind, I don't think we'll take any chances with Haaland.

Clearly it's a game we need to win for our own sake, but I want us to stick another knife into the RS. Next week sees them play City (a), Chelsea (a) and Arsenal (h). I think that their top-four pursuit lies there. Anything less than five points puts them right up against it.

I see Gerrard rose from his sickbed to play for Kenny on Saturday in their latest charity game for non match attenders. Interested to see his take on his recovery....
From Talk Sport website

After the game it was revealed Gerrard very nearly didn’t play, having struggled with a chest infection in the week leading up to the game.

But he was able to get his moment at Anfield and against the Celtic fans, and play 90 minutes, after a special delivery from his former club.

“Yeah, listen, they sent me a bag of medicine a couple of days ago and that straightened me out,” Gerrard added.

“I got through it, that’s the main thing. I was there. I didn’t play too well, but we got the win.”

I wonder if their busy in-house Pharmacist got generous 'foreigner' rates for his RS matchday reviver Irn-Bru....unlike their poor matchday workers on flat rate nearly furloughed buttons

Haaland and Foden probably missing for their game. Classic.
You'll love this one mate. That lot complaining their season has been wrecked by injuries.

"The Reds have taken one hit after another this season...85.2 percent [of the squad] have missed at least one game. A figure that is hardly conducive to consistent performances across the course of the campaign. Eleven players have hit double-figures for games missed, while 14 have been absent due to different injuries during one or more juncture of the season...With 12 games remaining, let’s hope the tide starts to turn for Klopp’s men."
