Alan Shearer BBC Sport :
"Staggering. I could not believe it. The pictures are pretty damning and if found guilty they should hammer him. He has built up his reputation over the last 12 months and to come into the tournament and do that, I am lost for words.
"I can understand why the referee did not see it clearly but they can look at video evidence and there is no way he can get away with that. It is pretty clear. What on earth is he thinking of?"

Bullets in the post me thinks ???

Fifa vice-president Jim Boyce says football's world governing body 'must investigate' Luis Suarez.

Boyce adds: "I have watched the incident several times on television.

"There is no doubt Luis Suarez is a fantastic footballer but once again his actions have left him open to severe criticism.

"There is no doubt that Fifa must investigate this incident very seriously and take whatever action is deemed necessary."

Been in work all evening, only 3 late shifts a year, typical I missed all the drama!
He needs at least a full year ban. You just cannot go around biting people and this is his 3rd go.
Anyone in the working world would be sacked, infact by now committed for what this maniac is doing.
He is a danger to his fellow professionals.

After his performances in Uruguay's first two games of this World Cup, and after his last biting incident for Liverpool FC, I thought Suarez had turned the corner and was really trying hard to mend his reputation. He is undoubtedly a fantastic footballer, probably in the top 5 in the world to be honest (certainly the best in the premier league). But there is something clearly not right in his head. What on earth was he thinking.? He is a despicable character, and should receive a lengthy ban. Will be interesting to see how FIFA and Liverpool Football club handle this.

Can Fifa ban him from all competitive games, international and club? Some kopite whom I'm arguing with is convinced Suarez will get away with it in this country because Fifa can only ban players from tournaments.
They are the world governing body of football. None of us are really certain but surely they can issue a ban from football worldwide. Someone posted a link somewhere of a similar incident involving a Benfica player.
